Calle 13 Films Documentary in Cuba
HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 31 (acn) Puerto Rican duo Calle 13 is filming a documentary in Cuba on their experiences in the Caribbean nation, Prensa Latina news agency reported on Monday.

Duo member and lead singer Rene Perez, a.k.a. “Residente”, announced that the new documentary is being directed by his compatriot filmmaker Lidy Paoli Lopez.

“We’re filming a big documentary about Calle 13 in Cuba,” Perez wrote on his Twitter account. He also published images of his stay in the Cuban capital, where they...

HAVANA, Cuba, May 5 (acn) Cuban singer songwriter Silvio Rodriguez said the role of the media is vital for the country to succeed in the changes implemented in the island aiming at maintaining its social system, as he received this Thursday a distinction granted by the Association of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) in Havana.

Rodriguez was awarded the “Felix Elmuza” Distinction in recognition of his blog “Segunda Cita” (Second Meeting) where he maintains an open dialogue about the current situation in Cuba.
