According to an official note published on Friday
by Cuban newspapers, the Council of State also agreed to promote
First Deputy Health Minister Roberto Morales Ojeda for the post.
Dr. Morales Ojeda, 43, graduated in 1991. Since then, he has
practiced as physician and has held direction posts in the
Public Health sector in central Cienfuegos province.
The note acknowledges Balaguer’s work ahead of the Public Health
Ministry and adds that, as agreed by the Politburo of the
Central Committee of Cuba’s Communist Party, he will resume his
work at the Central Committee.
