Gallery of Photos of Pope Benedict XVI's Three-Day Pastoral Journey to Cuba
Benedict XVI arrived in Santiago de Cuba on March 26. There, he celebrated Mass at the Antonio Maceo Revolution Square and visited the National Shrine of the Virgin of Charity of El Cobre, the Cuban Patron Saint. On March 27, the pontiff traveled to Havana, where he held official talks with President Raul Castro. On March 28, he said Mass at the Jose Marti Revolution Square with the presence of more than 300,000 people. Later, shortly before traveling to Rome, the Pope met with the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, at the apostolic Nunciature in Havana.
