The information was revealed by Engineer Alberto Agraz, General Director of the center who highlighted among some of their most important achievements the quality management system for over one decade, nationally and internationally endorsed, constituting a guarantee for the population’s health.

The center also packages and delivers different bio-pharmaceutical products for commercialization, among them the anti hepatitis recombinant vaccine and the Alfa interferon.

Also among top on the list is a vaccine used in preventing Haemophilus influenza and the Heberprot-P against foot ulcers on people with diabetes. 

Other important sectors of BIOCEN are the development of a tonic of natural origin for the treatment of anemia and the elaboration of nutrient bases for the diagnosis of microbiological analysis including a group of the chromogenic and Fluorgeneic types, faster and more precise in their results.

There is also the fabrication of active ingredients for the production of different medications in addition to extracts that produce allergies for its diagnosis and treatment applicable under the tongue or injected on the upper layer of the skin.

With over one thousand workers, BIOCEN, in the province of Mayabeque has a number of installations, among them a new center.
