Artists of the World Launch Initiative in Defense of Planet
Earth
HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 6 (ACN) Artists from 26 countries will
gather September 12 in Havana to issue a joint call, from
the visual arts world, for the preservation of the
environment and the promotion of sustainable development on
the planet.
Glob All Mix 30 Posters for a sustainable world is the title
of the exhibit that pay homage to the recently held Rio plus
20 Summit. The initiative is being sponsored by the UN
Development Program the Brazilian embassy in Cuba and the
Casa de Las Americas cultural institution, PL news agency
reported.
The paintings will be displayed at the Latin American
gallery, at the Casa de Las Americas building. Artists from
Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay,
Argentina, Guatemala and Cuba will take part in the
environment-focused action.
The European continent will be represented by artists from
France, Germany, Spain, the U.K., Portugal, Poland, Finland
and Russia, while also at hand will be visual arts
professionals from Zimbabwe, Iran, Australia, Japan and The
United States.
