Cuban News Agency

The Cuban athlete, Pan American champion in Guadalajara 2011 and national record holder, trailed US Jennifer Suhr who conquered the same height but in less attempts.

Russian super-star Isinbayeva, world record holder with 5.06 meters, and the undisputable queen in this event in Olympic Games, gold in Athens and Beijing, couldn’t pass the 4.75 meters height and left with the bronze.

This medal is the first for Cuba in the track and field events, and so far it has garnered 3 gold medals, 3 silvers and one bronze, good for the 13th position in the general standings
