ECLAC Calls for Long-Term Strategy against Inequalities
HAVANA, Cuba, July 3 (ACN) The
deputy executive secretary of the Economic Commission for
Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Antonio Prado,
called on the countries of the region to adopt a long-term
approach to face prevailing social inequalities.
Closing the many gaps we have
in the region requires a strategic planning
and perseverance during long periods of time, Prado said at
an ECLAC
international forum in Santiago de Chile, PL news agency
reported.
Prado referred to the need of playing a role in designing
strategies to
guide national development, since the planning of
development is back and
with renewed impetus amidst complex challenges, he noted.
