Hugo Chavez: The
Future of Humanity is also being Decided in Venezuela
HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 2 (ACN)
The future of humanity, between socialism and capitalism, is
also being decided in many ways here in Venezuela, said Hugo
Chavez, favorite candidate to win next October 7
presidential elections, after he formally opened his
electoral campaign on July 1.
We have recovered national independence and we cannot lose
it, said Chavez
after heading a huge caravan of people from all walks of
life, to the
“Constitucion” Avenue in Maracay, state of Aragua, after
covering an
18-kilometer route from the state of Carabobo, AVN radio
reported.
In his statements, Hugo Chavez called on the people not to
follow
triumphalism although he’s got a 20-point advantage over
opposition
candidate Henrique Capriles. “We will fight each day, each
night to get
the 7 million votes needed for October 7 and inflict the
bourgeoisie a
devastating knock out…although current conditions are in our
favor, the
victory will not come as a divine miracle. The best factor
to get it is
the deployment of the people,” he pointed out.
“Here in Venezuela, the future of humanity, between
socialism and
capitalism, is being decided in many ways,” Chavez stressed.
