According to a press release by the Cuban Sports, Physical Education and
Recreation Institute, sports facilities in Havana will host seven out of
all 39 disciplines, including cycling, diving, swimming and others. Other
venues are the eastern provinces of Holguin, Camaguey and central Sancti
Spiritus.

The Junior Sports Games were first held in 1963 with the participation of
over 3000 athletes in eight sports disciplines.
