Daniel Ortega: Cuba Could Contribute to Nicaragua’s Baseball
Development
HAVANA, Cuba, June 27 (ACN)
Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega requested Cuban assistance to
improve his country’s Baseball performance and stadiums
infrastructure.
During a conversation in
Managua with the Cuban baseball team, which
recently held a friendly meet with a Nicaraguan collective,
Ortega said
that “Cuba can help us a lot in developing this sports,
particularly in
the junior categories...”
President Ortega also requested Cuban cooperation to
undertake an
evaluation of conditions in local baseball stadiums, and he
thanked both
the Cuban and the Nicaraguan teams for the games they played
for the
enjoyment of the two countries.
The Cuban team returned home hours after the meeting with
the Nicaraguan
head of state, which focused on the development of baseball
in both countries.
