Upcoming International Forum on Medicine in Cuba Arouses
Interest
HAVANA, Cuba, May 24 (acn) Some two hundred experts from
about 20 nations have confirmed their participation in the
6th International congress on Medicine and Sciences Applied
to Sports and Physical Activity, slated to begin on
Wednesday in this capital.

Joining the island’s 80
delegates will be colleagues from the United States,
Germany, Canada, Spain, Australia and France, in addition to
specialists from Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico,
Argentina, Colombia, Panama and Syria, among other
countries.German
Peter Klauss, Canadian Terry Orlick, Australian Kevin Norton
and Spaniard Eugenio Perez, who will give keynote lectures
of high scientific rigor, stand out among visitors expected.
Doctor Candida Cuevas,
member of the Organizing Committee, asserted that the
meeting will be very useful for professionals from different
parts of the world to exchange their experiences, by way of
round tables, symposia, lectures, posters and pre-congress
courses, aimed at being more efficient in the comprehensive
medical attention of athletes and at improving the quality
of life of the population.
The forum will be
inaugurated on May 30 at Havana’s Convention Center, and
will close its doors two days later.
Pre-congress courses are
scheduled to begin on Friday, at the National Sports
Medicine Institute.
