In the short play, Abril’s
performance made a good connection with the privileged
audience that enjoyed a superb piece of work by one of the
most relevant Spanish movie stars.
Abril, a renowned Spanish singer and performer thanked the
affection of the spectators who defied the torrential rain
to attend the opening day of the event.
“El baile” (The Dance), one of the pieces that make up "Tres
Estaciones” (Three Seasons) by Abelardo Estorino joined the
presentation night with Cuban actress Daisy Sanchez.
For this piece, the audience takes the stage, minimized, and
feels part of the internal tearing between Nina and the
character's own interpreter, and also participates in the
assembly of the show where someone in the audience reads a
letter to the protagonist.
Under the name “La Cumbre del Monólogo desborda
Latinoamérica” (The Monologue Summit overflows Latin
America”, an exhibition was also inaugurated that consists
of a retrospective chart on this genre for over 10 years
that has marked the actions of the stage itself and the
Cuban audience.
Miguel Cañellas, Terry theater director expressed his joy
because Cienfuegos has become the capital of the one-personperformances,
first in Cuba and then in Latin America.
