Her songs packed out theaters
and dance floors the world over, and although those days are
far away, Donna Summer, who died on Thursday at age 63, was
a star until her death, according to reports on the painful
event published by several media outlets.
The DPA news agency recalled how on one occasion The Rolling
Stones Magazine asserted that Summer managed to create a new
international pop music style, with her combination of
rhythm and blues, pop, soul and rock. Her album Crayons,
released on May, 2008, included the title
The Queen is Back, the Granma
newspaper reported on Friday.
Born in Boston, Summer found her springboard to success in
Germany, and later she triumphed in her country. During her
fruitful and successful artistic career, she won five Grammy
awards.
