Tallest Man to Return to Cuba
HAVANA, Cuba, May 17 (acn) The
tallest man of the world, Sultan Kosen, from Turkey, will
travel to Havana on Saturday, May 19, for his third visit to
the island.
Juventud Rebelde
newspaper posted on its website that according to La
Chiringa de Cuba blog, Guiness record holder Kosen, who is
8.10 ft tall, will be accompanied by his manager Bobby
Rostov.
The article says Kosen wanted to travel again to the island
to put the
name of Cuba on the highest international level and also to
give the Cuban
people the opportunity to see first hand this sui generis
man.
Kosen takes credit for having the biggest hands and feet of
the world,
which 27.5 cm and 36.5 cm respectively. Such physical
conditions have made
it hard for him to perform simple actions such as getting on
a car,
running, or finding cloths that fit him or a bed.
Sultan Kosen grow as a normal kid until 10, but then a tumor
in the
pituitary gland made his body to continually produce the
growth hormone.
The tumor was removed two years ago, so doctors have stated
that the giant
has stopped growing.
As in his previous visits to Havana, Kosen will stay for
four days at the
National Hotel.
