by One of Cuban Five Exhibited in Shanghai
HAVANA, Cuba,

anti-terrorist fighters unjustly sentenced in the U.S., are on
display at the Gran Meliá Shanghai Hotel, China.

The exhibition titled Birds for Unity (Aves por la Unidad) was
recently
inaugurated at the exhibition hall of the hotel by Cuban
ambassador to the
Asian nation Alberto Blanco Silva.
The diplomat noted that Guerrero’s paintings mirror the feverish
times
lived by Latin American and Caribbean countries, and the process
of
integration going on in the region.
The exhibition features two paintings that recreate the beauty
of China’s
national flower, the Peony, in a special homage to the Asian
country.
The inauguration was attended by the executive vice president of
the
Shanghai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign
Countries, Wang
Xiaoshu, and local cultural officials, the media, and other
guests.
