Cuba
and Algeria Ratify Commercial Bonds
HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 2 (acn) Cuba
and Algeria ratified on Thursday in this capital their
commercial bonds, with the approval of new agreements in the
fields of culture and water resources.
In the conclusion
of the 17th Intergovernmental Joint Commission, the two
parties signed a Program for Cultural Exchanges and a
Cooperation Agreement between the island’s National
Institute of Water Resources and its Algerian counterpart.
This week, the delegations of the two countries also signed
agreements in the spheres of health, sports and
biotechnology.
During the meeting, Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister for Foreign
Trade and Investment, expressed the satisfaction of the
Caribbean party for the commission’s results, as well as the
wish of increasing bilateral cooperation.
For his part, Algerian Health Minister Djamel Ould Abbes
advocated a greater dimension of economic exchanges with
technology transfer.
The meeting was attended by Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice-president
of the Council of Ministers, and Fidel Castro Diaz- Balart,
Scientific Consultant with the Council of State.
