Receives Chavez in Havana
HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 25 (acn)
After intense days of emotions and visible expressions of
support of his people, the Venezuelan head of state, Hugo
Chavez, arrived smiling at Havana’s Jose
Marti International Airport on Friday night, where he was
received by Army General Raul Castro, President of the
councils of State and Ministers.
“I’ll be in the
same homeland,” the Bolivarian leader told his people on
Thursday, which had gathered at the Teresa Carreño National
Theater to pass on infinite messages of love. “I’m leaving,
but I’ll return, and I will do so with more life,” asserted
minutes before departing for Havana from the airport of
Maiquetia, while asking not to leave room for sadness.
President Chavez arrived on the Caribbean island accompanied
by the ministers of Health and the Presidency, Eugenia Sader
and Erika Farias, respectively, as well as by his brother
Adan Chavez, governor of the state of Barinas.
