According to a communiqué from the
Havana-based Cuban Friendship Institute
(ICAP), friends of Cuba —including ministers, parliamentarians,
diplomats
and members of friendship associations— will attend the forum.
The list of countries represented at the event include
Australia,
Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, North Korea, South Korea, East
Timor, the
Philippines, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia,
Nepal, New
Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, and the United States.
With the support of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of
Cambodia, the
meeting aims at strengthening the international movement in
solidarity
with Cuba.
Previous similar meetings took place in Calcutta (India, 1995),
Hanoi
(Viet Nam, 1997), Chennai (India, 2006), Colombo (Sri Lanka,
2008) and
Vientiane (Laos, 2010).
