Ready to Join Latin American Network of Hospital Pedagogy
HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 7 (acn) The
president of the Latin American Network of Hospital
Pedagogy, Dr. Silvia Riquelme, said in Havana that this
regional organization is ready to receive Cuba as one of its
members.
According to
Juventud Rebelde newspaper, Riquelme praised the development
achieved by Cuba in the health and education sectors and
expressed her
desire to expand Cuba’s experience in the field to the
eleven members of
the Network.
The Chilean expert, who attended the World Convention on
Early Childhood
Psychomotor Development and Stimulation that took place on
February 1-4 at
Havana’s Convention Center with the participation of nearly
1,500
delegates from 55 countries, said she would take the
necessary steps to
bring Cuba into the organization and to begin bilateral
working projects.
She noted that the Latin American Network of Hospital
Pedagogy works to
guarantee education and comprehensive development to people
that are
hospitalized or under medical treatment that entails long
periods of
specialized care.
