Raul
Castro Meets with Brazil’s President
HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 31 (acn) The
Cuban President Raul Castro met Tuesday morning with his
Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff, who is in Havana on an
official visit.
In the meeting,
both heads of government commented on the excellent state
of relations between their countries and the importance of
the creation of
the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC)
to deal with
the big challenges of the region. They talked about topics
of
international interests.
Accompanying Rousseff in the meeting were Brazil’s minister
for Foreign
Relations Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, the President’s
special adviser
Marco Aurelio Garcia, and ambassador to Cuba Jose Eduardo
Martins Felicio.
On the Cuban part were First Vice-President of the Council
of States and
Ministers Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, Foreign minister Bruno
Rodriguez
Parrilla, and ambassador to Brazil Carlos Zamora Rodriguez.
