Gerardo Hernandez, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Ramon Labañino are arbitrarily incarcerated in the northern country, while Rene Gonzalez, after serving his sentence, has been forced to stay for another three years, under supervised release, in that territory, the www.cubaminrex.cu Web site reported.

Russia has always been and will be an ally of the Caribbean island in its struggle to put an end to the blockade imposed by Washington on Cuba for almost half a century now, pointed out the top Russian official.

Ribakov also highlighted the cooperation the two states offer in complex issues in the international sphere and their resistance to the destructive policies some try to impose on the planet.

We acknowledge Cuba’s help in important matters for Russians and for the international community, like international security, human rights and the solution of regional conflicts, he stressed.

He highlighted the solidarity of the Caribbean island, which is reflected, he added, in its policy of offering support to people in need.
