interpreted
by the String Quartets of the two orchestras.

he was
very impressed by the performance of the Cuban musicians, the
public’s
warm reception, and particularly by the large number of young
people in
the audience.
Chagnard said the Northwest Sinfonietta is planning to return to
the
province every year to increase the exchange with local
musicians.
He also announced that they have invited the Cienfuegos
orchestra to join
them in two concerts, in Tacoma and Seattle, in October.
The Washington-based orchestra visited the Beny More art school
of
Cienfuegos and they have toured different communities and the
community-based cultural centers of Palmira y Cumanayagua.
