According to ¡Ahora!, Holguin’s local newspaper, Canada maintains its
place as the leading market for this eastern region of Cuba, followed by
the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Netherlands.

The report says that in 2012, in the peak of the tourism high season,
weekly flights to the Frank Pais International Airport add to more than
fifty, including a new route recently inaugurated coming from Buenos
Aires, Argentina.

The province has more than 4,800 rooms available, distributed mostly along
the north coast in the Guardalavaca, Playa Esmeralda and Pesquero resort
areas.

High-quality services in hotels together with beautiful beaches are two of
the main assets of the region.
