French
Edition of Fidel Castro’s Book Published in Paris
HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 19 (acn) The Strategic Victory, a book written
by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, came to light this Thursday,
January 19, in Paris, under the title “Les Chemins de la
Victorie” (The paths of victory), which will be also sold in
Switzerland and Belgium.

As of Thursday, the book, published by Michel
Lafon, is available in all
bookstores of the French capital, with 25,000 copies printed,
says a
Prensa Latina report.
Silvie Arhab, a member of the publishing house, told the media
Michel
Lafon is planning to release the second part of the book –The
Strategic
Counteroffensive- in October.
In The Paths of Victory, the Cuban leader narrates how 300
members of the
Rebel Army, led by him, defeated 10,000 soldiers of the
Fulgencio Batista
dictatorship in 1958.
The 658-page book contains 250 photos, maps and facsimile from
that
period, as well as a brief autobiography depicting Fidel
Castro's
childhood, adolescence and youth.
The second volume deals with the course of the war in the Sierra
Maestra
mountain range, the invasion from East to West, and the January
1, 1959
victory.
