Lyon stressed his satisfaction for being able to try his players against new rivals, a
factor that, he asserted, "will contribute to improve our skills" in the face of upcoming university games in his country, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.

With regard to Cuba, Lyon pointed out that "it’s a beautiful country", to which "he would like to return soon, in order to continue this type of exchanges."

Cuba, represented by the University of Sciences, Physical Education and Sports, won against the Lakers in extra-inning (4-3) on Thursday; and 8-5 on Friday.

The friendly three-game series between Cuban and US university students concluded on Saturday at the capital’s Santiago “Changa” Mederos Stadium with a third victory for locals, this time 13-5.
