the two lobes of the thyroid gland, "but it ruled out the
presence of cancer cells, thus modifying the puncture’s initial
diagnosis," according to a report of the Presidential Medical
Unit, read by Scoccimarro, the Prensa Latina news agency
reported.
Consequently, and according to this favorable diagnosis, the
medical team in charge considered that the surgical treatment
carried out is sufficient and that therefore the administration
of radioactive iodine is not necessary, adds the news agency.
