The diplomat
opened the exhibition "Norwegian Contemporary Architecture
Number Seven" with a selection of the best pieces by
professionals of that nation from over the last few years,
which identify particular tendencies and characteristics.
He informed that, previously, the exhibition was present at
the Architecture Biennial of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and that it
will stay in Havana until January 15, to then be presented
in Poland.
Daniel Taboada, head of the Department of Vernacular
Architecture of the City Historian’s Office, said that the
exhibition shows a wide range of works, ranging from a
tourist cabin to large airport in India.
The exhibition’s curator, Eva Madhshus, explained that the
National Museum of Art,
Architecture and Design in Oslo, organizes this type of
exhibition since the 1970’s, part of which tours other
countries while the other part tours the entire Norwegian
territory. She announced that next week renowned Norwegian
architects will give conferences and workshops, which could
result in interesting joint projects.
