The feature film,
directed by Eduardo Barbena and with a script by Gustavo
Michelena, includes the performances of Cubans Carlos Padron and
Patricio Wood, who play the role of the self-confessed criminal.
Also appearing in the film are actors Carlos Ever Fonseca
(Cuba), Gioia Arismendi and Gabriel Blanco (Venezuela) and
Anibal Grunn (Argentinean-Venezolan). The music (Latin American
rhythms, most of them Cuban) was composed by Jesus Bello and
Victor Pratt, the www.villadelcine.gob.ve Web site reported.
With an abundant record of services for the Central Intelligence
Agency of the United States, Posada Carriles presently enjoys
freedom in that country, after a judicial farce in Texas for his
illegal entry in the US in March, 2005.
There, in April, 2011, a jury found him innocent of 11 charges
of perjury, migratory fraud and obstruction to proceedings,
ridiculous charges compared to the magnitude of his criminal
record.
The court has ignored irrefutable evidence existing about his
participation in the chain of attacks with bombs perpetrated in
1997 in Havana, as well as his responsibility in the blowing of
a Cuban civil aircraft in mid air in 1976 –which caused the
death of all 73 people on board-and his plans to assassinate
Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
Posada Carriles has a legal process pending in Venezuela –for
the Barbados Crime-, since he escaped from a prison of the South
American country in 1985, thanks to the support of the
Cuban-American extreme right.
Caracas has requested
his extradition, to which Washington turns a deaf ear.
