of the five candidates —among eleven— who received more votes
during the
16th Pan American Games held last October in Guadalajara,
Mexico.
The message adds that the Commission will elect their president
in the
coming months for a four-year mandate, until the end of the Pan
American
Games of Toronto in 2015.
The other members of the Commission are Canadian gymnast
Alexandra
Orlando, Haitian triple jumper Samyr Laine, Guatemalan table
tennis player
Andrea Estrada, and Mexican taekwondo expert Guillermo Perez.
According to the communiqué, two more athletes of sports
disciplines
included in the Pan Am meeting of Guadalajara —but not in the
Olympic
program— will be elected by PASO’s Executive Committee to join
the Commission.
