Photo Exhibition Marks 25th Anniversary of Cuban Int’l Film
School
ARTEMISA, Cuba, Dec 14 (acn) The André Bazin Media Library of
the Artemisa-based International Film and Television School
exhibits images by German photography director Rolf Coulanges,
as part of the program marking the 25th anniversary of the
center.
|
The snapshots capture moments of Coulanges’s work
during his many trips to
the institution, located in San Antonio de los Baños of the
province of
Artemisa, Luciano Castillo, head of the Media Library and movie
critic,
told ACN.
According to Castillo, the photos on display are considered
jewels of the
school’s graphic memory as they show, in black and white, the
different
generations and periods, from students to anonymous workers who
have
contributed to the institute’s achievements throughout this
fourth of a
century.
The venue for the exhibition is an emblematic place because it
treasures
more than 10,000 films from 74 countries in DVD format and a
wide
literature fund.
As part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of the
international
film school, there will be concerts and on Thursday, a series of
stamps
about Cuban films directed by EICTV maestros will be canceled.
