The president of the event’s
organizing committee, Luis del Toro Reyes,
said during a press conference on Wednesday that representatives
from
Mexico, Iraq, Ecuador, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Egypt, Spain,
Kazakhstan,
Venezuela and Cuba, among other nations, will participate in the
meeting.
Reyes added that the event will be dedicated to Venezuela, the
largest
foreign delegation with 150 delegates.
He noted that nearly 256 papers will be presented and that a
parallel
academic meeting among 50 foreign students and 38 Cubans will be
taking
place during the Convention.
AFIDE, born in 2005, aims at facilitating the exchange,
promotion and
spreading of experiences and results of studies on sciences in
the field
of sports and physical activity.
