The vice rector of the
Havana-based University of Sciences of Sports and
Physical Culture, Luis del Toro, said the scientific program of
the event
includes lectures on 14 topics by representatives from Cuban
institutions
such as the Institute of Sports Medicine, the International
School of
Sports and Physical Education, and the University of Computer
Sciences (UCI).
The agenda also includes seven pre-convention courses, nine
international
workshops, and three key lectures, as well as other activities.
This year the meeting will be dedicated to Venezuela, the nation
with the
largest delegation, only behind Cuba.
