CAMAGUEY, Cuba, Nov 22 (acn) The central province of Camaguey
will host the Fourth International Video Art Festival (FIVAC),
from November 25 through 29, with the attendance of
representatives from almost 30 nations.
|
The program of the event includes lectures by
presidents of similar festivals such as Wilfried Agricola de
Cologne, in Germany; Roland Wegerer, in Austria; and Joan Raven
Estelle, in Spain.
Participants will talk about video creation, new practices and
technologies for arts, and current trends of contemporary
international video creation, with screening spaces at the San
Juan de Dios Square, the Nuevo Mundo hall, and the Alejo
Carpentier Gallery.
FIVAC will also host an international exhibit of materials that
are not competing in this event.
In the previous festival, Canadian Patrick Bergeron won the
first award with his piece “Looploop”, where he showed the
relation of a city environment in Viet Nam with its inhabitants
nowadays.
As of this year, the International Video Art Festival of
Camaguey will take place every two years and not annually, as it
has been in the past.
