Cuban Health
System to Benefit from 21st Meeting of Casa del Habano Partagas
HAVANA, Cuba,
Nov 8 (acn) The 21st Meeting of Clients and Friends of the Casa
del Habano Partagas, scheduled for November 14 through 18, in
Havana, will have among other goals to contribute part of its
profits to the Cuban health system.

The director of this
institution, Abel Exposito Diaz, told the press that about
350 delegates from Germany, Canada, Spain, the United
States, France, Italy, and Switzerland, among other nations,
are expected to take part in this event.
This meeting is dedicated to the 492nd anniversary of the
foundation of Havana, the 166th anniversary of the Partagas
Cigars Royal Factory, and the 18th of the Casa del Habano
Partagas ––which was inaugurated in 1993.
Exposito announced that as in previous years, the
participants will be able to taste cigars especially made
for this occasion.
He noted that within the context of the meeting they will
offer exclusive cases with allegorical cigar bands, humidors
made by renowned Cuban artists, and guayaberas (the Cuban
national garment), among other articles; and added that they
will hold a draw and an auction to collect funds for the
Cuban health system.
In this sense, the Casa del Habano Partagas has raised more
than 287,000
Cuban convertible pesos (CUC) for health initiatives such as
programs to
fight cancer.
The program of activities of the event includes visits to
Club Havana, the
Equestrian Center at the Lenin Park, and the Alcona Farm.
The participants
will also have the opportunity to enjoy musical and dance
shows at the
Copa Room Cabaret, at the Riviera Hotel.
