Pellegrini, awarded several prizes in contests like the
Palestrina in Brazil or the Guitar Festival in Havana, held
exchanges with professors and students about methods to study
and teach how to play that string instrument.
The artist, who has been visiting the center since 2009,
highlighted the importance of personal study for several hours a
day, and of training in classical pieces of national and
international repertoires.
In statements to ACN, he said that artistic teaching in Cuba is
exceptional, since the necessary conditions and resources for
this type of study are available.
He championed the promotion of classical music in radio and
television, in order to spread this genre and increase audience.
As part of his tour, the artist gave keynote lectures at
vocational schools in Las Tunas and Santa Clara, and he will
soon do the same in Pinar del Rio.
