Praun, a disciple of George Fevre, one of the followers of Henri Cartier-Bresson, a myth of 20th century world photography, first worked in the field of fashion, then on social stories, and later, for a few years now, on the theme of the defense of the environment.

Praun is also shooting a documentary with the same name, in which she interviews personalities of various disciplines about their experiences on environmental work, which she expects to present soon on the island.

She’s preparing a multidisciplinary event to be held in October in Mexico City, where she will take a group of Cuban scientists, fine arts and audiovisual creators, farmers, designers and gastronomic specialists who have devoted themselves to the defense of the ecology, as well as their works.

As part of that project she also organized a contest in which some 2,000 people
participated, in literature, audiovisuals and fine arts, the awarded works of which are on display at Havana’s La Rampa Movie Theater.

Conceicao Praun has carried out this didactic artistic work in countries like Egypt, Greece, India, Italy, France and Cuba.

She has visited Caribbean island several times, where she has presented seven photographic exhibitions -in the capital and in the eastern city of Holguin.
