According to Prensa Latina news agency, both
dancers offered the audience a combination of the exquisite
repertoire of classic ballet and modern dance, which included
the Grand pas de deux classique and the second act of Giselle.
The choreography of the Grand pas de deux classique was in
charge of Alicia Alonso, over the original by Victor Gsovski,
the music by Daniel Francois Auber, and both pieces had designs
by Salvador Fernandez.
The leading dancers of this company, directed by prima ballerina
assolutta Alicia Alonso, excelled the expectations of the
public, which was revealed with a warm welcome after their
performance.
Arencibia and Vireyes, who were recently honored in New York,
belong to a new generation of the Cuban Ballet School.
