Antonio Guerrero Sends Letter to Woman Retiree in Santiago de Cuba

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, July 7 (acn) Ana Iris Limonta, a 54 year-old retiree, received on
Tuesday a letter sent by Antonio Guerrero, one of the five Cubans unfairly incarcerated in the
United States.

Moved by the letter, she told ACN that some 8 years ago she decided to contact Gerardo, Antonio, Ramon, Rene and Fernando by mail, after listening to the demands of their mothers and wives in the face of the injustices committed by the US district attorney’s office.

Maternal, revolutionary and fraternal feelings drove this human rights advocate to write them. Today, she keeps around 10 letters clearly showing that there are enough reasons for The Five to be released.

Tony’s text reads: “In spite of difficulties with mail, I have not forgotten you,” and
includes a picture of him with his mother during a visit to the prison, as described by Ana Iris.

On September 12, 1998, the five Cubans were arrested in the US for monitoring the terrorist activities of Florida-based anti-Cuban organizations.

Since then, the entire Cuban people and peoples of other nations in the world have joined the demand for their release, expressing, with numerous actions of solidarity, their disagreement with the colossal injustice of their imprisonment.
