According to Granma newspaper, the guest of honor on this occasion is
Trinidad and Tobago, an archipelagic state to the south-western of the
Caribbean, close to Venezuelan shores.

Cultural authorities from that nation supported by the embassy in Havana
have confirmed the assistance of a large artistic delegation, as of music
and dance.

Santiago de Cuba province will also host artists and intellectuals from
most of the countries of the region, as well as from other nations such as
Brazil and the south of the United States.

The Cuban culture will be represented by bands and artists, whose works
are based on the Cuban traditional culture for the development of new
manifestations.

The whole city will be the stage for this party: the Cespedes Park, the
Heredia Theatre, the Marti Theatre, and the Santiago’s Theatre Council,
among many other.

There will be an intense program of activities in squares and parks from
the afternoon until the evenings, with traditional farmers’ music from the
Rogelio Meneses Cultural Center.

Sources of the Organizing Committee noted that there has been a
significant attendance of tourists in previous events, and on this
occasion they are certain of surpassing expectations: “culture can
contribute with funds for the sustainability of our programs”.
