The initiative was called by the Madrid Committee for the Freedom of the
Cuban Five, as Gerardo Hernandez, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero,
Fernando Gonzalez and René Gonzalez as they are known internationally,
reported Prensa Latina news agency.

The group, along representatives from the Cuban embassy, reached the
summit where they spread two banners displaying the Cuban Five’s faces.
There they met with other climbers who joined the activity.

This event was part of the international campaign to demand US president
Barak Obama to free the Cuban heroes who are serving harsh sentences for
trying to prevent terrorist actions against Cuba by Florida-based right
wing groups.
