Luxemburg Hosts Homage to Cuban
Composer Leo Brower
HAVANA, Cuba, May 5 (acn) The city of Luxemburg hosted an homage
to Cuban
composer and singer Leo Brower, the author of pieces that make
up the repertoire of famous guitar players, symphonic orchestras
maestros, and chamber music orchestras in the world.

According to the
website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry (www.cubaminrex.cu),
the ceremony was sponsored by the Music Conservatorium in
Luxemburg with the support of Brazilian maestro Odair Assadm.
Guitar professor in the Conservatorium Hany Heshmat
highlighted Leo Brower’s value and talent as composer,
guitar player, and orchestra director, which is shown in his
broad musical works that also include soundtracks for the
cinema industry.
The Cuban counselor to Belgium and Luxemburg, Jorge Hadad,
said that this
homage was a gift for the public.
Assadam performed the piece “Sonata del caminante”, which
Brower dedicated
to him.
At the end of the concert, those present thanked assistant
director Alain Wirth and reaffirmed their respect and
admiration for the Cuban musician and his work.
