International Book Fair Opens DoorsHavana, Feb 14 (ACN) The 22nd Cuba 2013 International Book Fair will be officially inaugurated on Thursday at its usual venue in Havana in the presence of Cuban and Angolan political and cultural personalities.

Angola is the guest of honor to the fair, which will run till February 24 in Havana to progressively be hosted by other venues throughout the island in the coming days.

Nearly four million copies of new books will be available to the public during the fair in what has been considered an effort by Cuban publishing houses to promote knowledge and healthy recreations for citizens of different ages.

The ancient Spanish Cabana Fortress, on the side of Havana's Bay will open its doors to the huge event, whose offers will also be exhibited in other sites of the Cuban capital.

The fair is considered the largest event of its kind in the country and this time it is dedicated to National Literature laureate Daniel Chavarria, National Social Sciences prize winner Pedro Pablo Rodriguez, as well as to the 160th anniversary of the birth of Cuban National Hero Jose Marti.
