According to Prensa Latina news agency, the Hoy daily gives prominence in its cultural section to the performance of this Cuban artist at the Gran Arena del Cibao Theatre, in Santiago de los Caballeros, which was overcrowded by the public.

The Dominican daily asserts that, after five years of absence, Silvio delighted the audience with his words and his sensitive soul.

Meanwhile, another newspaper, Listin Diaro, publishes an article entitled “Silvio cantó para los angeles” (Silvio Sang for the Angels), in reference to his performance in this charity concert. The funds collected will be delivered to the ‘Fundacion Nido de Angeles’ for helpless children.

This daily affirmed that Silvio’s voice has not change with the passing of time, and mentioned that the artist offered a press conference in the Centro de Leon, where he talked about education, politics, literature, present world threats, and about the Cuban Revolution.

According to the website of Radio Havana Cuba, the Trovarroco trio accompanied Silvio during his performance in this Caribbean nation.
