Eastern Cuba Welcomes 20th Int’l Book Fair
HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 2 (acn) Readers in Holguin and Guantanamo, eastern Cuba, highly welcome Wednesday the opening of the 20th International Book Fair that offers hundreds of books of nearly all genres and brings important literature personalities to their cities.

Visitors, adults and children will be able to participate in different activities organized for event, including meetings with renowned writers like National Literature prizewinner Jaime Sarusky, Aida Bahr, Rafael de Aguila and Ernesto Peña, and with historian, political scientist and essay writer Fernando Martinez Heredia to whom the fair has been dedicated.


According to Kenia Leyva, poet and editor of Ediciones Holguin the fair will serve to promote younger writers as they will have the opportunity of present and talk about their books on spaces exclusively dedicated to young creators.


The 20th International Book Fair will run until March 6. The Cuban literary fair is considered one of the most important events of its type of Latin America and the Caribbean.
