According to Sierramaestra.cu website, the cycle began on August 13th with
homage to Cuba’s National Hero Jose Marti in the island’s highest point, Turquino Peak which was carried out by 50 youths and will continue throughout the month of September. Among its main activities will be a special recognition to campesinos.

Rabilero also announced upcoming neighbourhood debates on September 10th
which they will dedicate to the fight for the release of the Cuban Five.

 
On September 11th, the members of the association will share experiences
with founders of the CDR.

Among some of the other activities are a massive planting of trees in the neighborhoods, volunteer street cleanup as well as cultural activities.

The main activity celebrating the CDR’s 50th anniversary will be held on September 28th in the Museum of the Revolution, former Presidential Palace.
