Upon her arrival to Havana’s Jose
Marti International Airport on Saturday, the Ghanaian delegation
was welcomed by Osvaldo Vento, Vice-president of the National
Institute for Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER).
Akua Sena Dansua expressed her interest in knowing more about
the island’s experience in sports for all, physical education
and healthy and useful recreation, which makes it possible to
increase the quality of life of children, youngsters and adults
in schools and communities.
During her stay in Cuba until Thursday, the Ghanaian minister
will sign a cooperation accord with the INDER, aimed at
strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation existing
between the two peoples.
In addition, she will visit the International School for
Physical Education and Sports, the Anti-Doping Control
Laboratory, a community sports area, and other institutions in
this sector, and will carry out activities organized by the
National Committee of the Young Communists League.
