Guerra is the Cuban with greater possibilities of winning a medal in this Cup in the 10 meter synchronized along Jeinkler Aguirre, a couple which won the bronze medal at the 2009 Rome World Championships.

Both athletes are to compete in the singles platform, while Guerra will join Jorge Betancourt for the springboard synchronized. Betancourt registered for the singles springboard event, along Abel Ramirez, who is looking for experience before the First Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore.

Several world and Olympic champions registered for this World Cup looking to finish among the best eight in singles and six in synchronized to qualify for the V World Series to be held in 2011.

Chinese Olympic champions Minxia Wu, Roulin Chen, Chong He and Qin Kai will be among the contenders, along Mexicans Paola Espinosa, Rommel Pacheco and Yahel Castillo; Canadians Alexandre Despatie and Hemilie Heymans, German Sascha Klein and Australians Matthew Mitcham and Melissa Wu.
