Int’l Meeting of Youths for the Cuban Five Held in Las Tunas Province
HAVANA, Cuba, March 16 (acn) An international meeting of youths to demand de immediate release of five Cuban antiterrorist fighters who remain unjustly imprisoned in the United States took place in eastern Las Tunas province with the participation of foreign students currently taking courses in the island.

The event, in which some 70 members of the Cuban University Federation
(FEU) and the Federation of High School Students (FEEM) also participated,
concluded with a declaration demanding the release of Gerardo Hernandez,
Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez –
internationally known as the Cuban Five.

The program was organized by the local delegation of the Cuban Friendship Institute (ICAP) and by the Young Communist League (UJC) in the province and it included an exchange with youths who correspond with the Five.

The event included a lecture on ICAP and activities such as the exhibition of cultural traditions from Bolivia, Antigua and Barbuda, Venezuela, the Western Sahara and Cuba.
