The document, published today by the Cubadebate website, condemns
the decision by the US Government that labels these 14 nations as
‘state sponsors of terrorism and countries of interest’.
The text rejects this unilateral list and urges all States to comply
with their duties
regarding international law and humanitarian international law in
the fight against terror.
Likewise, NAM advocates multilateralism and recalls that
international organizations are the appropriate framework to solve
all problems through dialogue and cooperation.
The declaration was approved on January 27, 2010, by the
Coordination Bureau of NAM, which is comprised of 118 countries.
