The
protest was summoned and organized by the US Free the Five National
Committee of the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition along with other groups to
expose the actual crimes committed by Posada, Prensa Latina
reported.
In a press release issued by the Free the Five Committee, its
members highlighted that the responsible for the mid-air blowing up
of a Cuban airliner off the coasts of Barbados in 1976, when 73
people were killed, will be taken to court just for lying under
oath.
The protestors will demand the extradition of Posada to Venezuela,
where he would answer for the premeditated murder of 73 people in a
court of law.
In addition, they will claim for the release from jail of five Cuban
anti-terrorist
fighters imprisoned in the United States since 1998: Gerardo
Hernandez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and
Rene Gonzalez, known as the Cuban Five.
